The repertoires and relationships of Contemporary Music-making for Amateurs (CoMA)

Author: Tom Service

COMA Publications ©1999 - ISBN 095375180-5

This report was commissioned by CoMA to review its artistic policies and relationships to other arts organisations and funding bodies and to assess the potential for the future. Interviews were carried out with individuals from relevant organisations in order to understand the following:

  1. where contemporary art music sits in the present cultural climate
  2. how COMA relates to the aims and objectives of other organisations
  3. how people involved in the front-line of contemporary musical activity see the future of arts organisations, especially in relation to wider communities

The report is presented as a discursive argument.
