Assembling a contemporary repertoire for amateurs

For COMA, this means the creation of works which are exploratory, and artistically challenging, as well a musically strong enough to stimulate both performers and audiences. 'Amateur', for COMA, means all musicians who are interested in performing and creating new music.

Composers should therefore bear in mind that COMA ensembles consist of a range of technical abilities and notational literacy. In addition, ensembles are often of mixed and flexible instrumentation.
